Now Citrix can deliver macOS desktop sessions to any device!

Citrix enables enterprise IT to deliver secure application access to users around the globe.  With millions of Windows, Linux, Web, and SaaS applications launched every month, it’s not often that we get to announce support for a new platform— today, we’re excited to announce that Citrix DaaS can now securely deliver macOS desktops to any device.

What is the Citrix VDA for macOS?

With high-performance remote access to Mac desktops through Citrix DaaS, users can connect seamlessly to macOS hardware which can be hosted in the office, data center, or cloud. Built using Citrix HDX technology, Citrix DaaS provides a high-definition user experience, along with enterprise-grade management, security, and observability.

Optimized for Apple Silicon, the Citrix VDA for macOS offers Single Sign-On, an enhanced user experience with USB device redirection and HDX screen sharing, and enhanced video conferencing through webcam redirection. It supports macOS host devices using M1 or later chipsets and the latest three generations of macOS.

We are also excited to partner with vendors providing access to Mac hardware, for organizations who want to rapidly scale their Mac footprint. We currently support MacStadium, a leader in IaaS with macOS hardware across their data centers, as well as Amazon EC2 Mac instances.
