On September 9, 2024, Apple unveiled the next generation of mobile and wearable devices that people are eager to get their hands on, along with the next major OS release: iOS 18, which is set to launch on September 16, 2024.
The good news is that Citrix Endpoint Management is ready to support iOS 18 on Day 0. Our development team has been closely monitoring and testing the early access releases to ensure compatibility with the Citrix Secure Hub client, Citrix mobile productivity apps—such as Secure Mail and Secure Web—and both cloud and on-premises Citrix Endpoint Management.
Here are the client and server versions that officially support iOS 18:
Client:
- Secure Hub 24.8.0 (Live)
- Secure Mail 24.9.0 (Live)
- Secure Web 24.9.0 (Live)
Server:
- Citrix Endpoint Management 24.10.0 (Scheduled for October)
- Citrix XenMobile Server 10.16 Rolling Patch 4 (Scheduled for October)
Please note that if you are running earlier supported versions of XenMobile Server (e.g., 10.15) and CEM 24.8.0, iOS 18 will still work. We highly recommend updating all server components at the earliest opportunity for compatibility. The CEM cloud release will be done automatically via canary rollout.
Of course, our Citrix MAM SDK is also ready to support iOS 18!
The latest MAM SDK for iOS (version 24.7.1) is available on GitHub for your development team to prepare and integrate with your in-house mobile apps.
With our Day 0 support, IT administrators can now support corporate and BYO devices on iOS 18, whether they are already enrolled or planning to be enrolled in Citrix Endpoint Management cloud or on-premises.
Stay tuned for more news on upcoming iOS 18 device management features coming soon to Citrix Endpoint Management.
