What’s new in Citrix Director / Monitor
When are all these new features going to be made available?
New features, including Network Topology View, Secure Private Access integration, Cost Saving Report, Infrastructure Rightsizing, and Citrix Infrastructure Monitoring, e.g., will be added to Citrix DaaS and later to Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops versions.
Will the upcoming features be available in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 2402 LTSR?
These features will be added to Citrix DaaS and later to Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops versions.
Will these upcoming features require the Citrix Platform license?
Citrix uberAgent is a Citrix Platform license feature. All Director and Monitor features discussed in the Citrix Master Class will be available for all customers, but these customers will need to upgrade to the respective versions as needed.
Will Application and Desktop Probing support login types like SAML?
No. Citrix Probe Agent supports authentication to Citrix Workspace / StoreFront with Microsoft Active Directory credentials or Citrix Gateway domain credentials. A Multi-Factor Authentication option is available for Citrix Gateway configured with LDAP or Native OTP using the Single Login Scheme. Please see the Application and Desktop Probing documentation for more.
Will the Citrix Probe Agent be included in the Citrix Virtual Desktop Agent (VDA)?
The Citrix Probe Agent will remain separate, as users can install it on devices from any location representative of the end user locations.
How close to real-time is the data when inspecting the sessions concerning the latency and other metrics for end users?
Data on live sessions is available to inspect after about 30 seconds..
Cost Optimization
Can you set your costs for hosting infrastructure for an on-premises deployment?
Yes, you will be able to specify a per-hour cost for on-premises infrastructure.
Will Citrix Cost Optimization support AWS instance costs?
We will support Microsoft Azure in the current release, and support for AWS and GCP is on the product roadmap.
Citrix uberAgent
Does uberAgent support Ubuntu Linux as well?
uberAgent is currently available for Windows and macOS. A Linux agent is on the roadmap. Please see the Citrix uberAgent System Requirements for more information on supported operating systems and browser extension versions.
Are there any plans for uberAgent to gather data from ChromeOS devices?
Support for ChromeOS is not currently on the Citrix uberAgent roadmap.
How do we begin with Citrix uberAgent.
Citrix uberAgent is only included in the Citrix Platform License; however, a trial is available. Please contact your Citrix sales representatives for more information.
