Customization is personal, and for enterprises it is a reflection of identity. We have been amazed by the stories of Citrix customers and partners and the lengths they’ve gone to personalize their Storefront or Workspace user interface. They love that they can tailor their workspace experience to align it with their organization’s needs. In fact, customization-related requests are among the most-asked-for enhancements for our teams at Citrix.
We’ve been listening, and thanks to your feedback and requests, we have now launched the App Personalization service for all our customers and partners. This enables you to extend your customization to Citrix clients for a truly end-to-end, personalized experience. Also, we have new enhanced capabilities so you can do even more with your in-app experience.
With these changes, you can personalize your installers, title bars, task bars, loading screens, or any pop-ups/dialogs coming from native Citrix apps. You can also pre-add your store URL so end users get a more seamless onboarding experience. In the case of Windows, you can also customize the Help URL to redirect to your self-help portal.
For example, let’s consider a fictitious company, Acme Pharmaceutical. They can call their Citrix Workspace app “Acme Pharmaceutical” and include the Acme icon. This, in turn, allows employees and contractors to access all their Citrix Workspace resources through a solution that has their organization’s branding.
You can manage the entire lifecycle of these apps, generate a custom build, update the customizations, update to a newer version, and also take care of app distribution. In the case of desktops, you can generate a download URL for the build. In the case of mobile apps, you can manage the delivery and versions via the Google Play store or Apple Business Manager.
