Citrix and Google partner for carbon reduction opportunities

Earth Day is recognized as the largest secular observance in the world, marked by more than 1 billion people every year as a day of action to change human behavior. At Citrix, we are committed to decreasing our environmental impact and the impact of our customers.

We understand the need to have innovative IT solutions to support an organization’s sustainability goals. Our collaborations with companies like Google provide solutions that not only enable employees to do their best work, but that help people to work efficiently wherever they are, reducing transportation emissions from commuting and enabling a shift to more energy-efficient tools like Chrome OS devices.

From our recent announcement of becoming a Chrome Enterprise Recommended partner to the ability to leverage Citrix Machine Creation Services (MCS) on Google Cloud, we continue to evolve together by not just bringing the best experience to our customers, but by also standing strong on our shared commitment to responsible IT practices around the world.

A true testament to how Citrix and Google provide the right solutions to support organizations’ IT sustainability goals is our customer Neste Oyj, which recently earned a Citrix Innovation Award. Neste aims to accelerate a shift toward a circular economy and help its customers reduce greenhouse gas emissions with its renewable and circular solutions.

Another great example of how Citrix and Google are teaming to meet sustainability requirements across different organizations was highlighted during this on-demand webinar, where we partnered with the Royal Borough of Kingston & Sutton and shared practical steps for driving IT sustainability.

Looking beyond Earth Day 2021, the work we do at Citrix with partners like Google endures. We strive not only to help enable employees do their best work, but also continuously build on the shared responsibility we have to reduce the carbon impact of IT over the long term.
