The new year is well under way, and there’s naturally a lot of excitement and optimism about what’s ahead in 2021. One of the things I committed to doing this year was interacting more with the Citrix community and sharing additional technical knowledge. My colleague Sara Queen and I created the Technology in Practice webinar series (TIPs) almost five years ago with a simple objective: have our top Enterprise Architects (the incredibly talented team that I manage) share real-world lessons learned from the field with our customers and partners. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished thus far — 30+ webinars to date (and you can access all the recordings on our Citrix TIPs page). But we’re not satisfied, and I believe there’s an opportunity to share more.
With that in mind, I reached out to one of my favorite Citrites a few months back. He’s been a frequent speaker on the Citrix Synergy stage, he loves The Simpsons, and he even taught me some classes when I was a new hire at Citrix 17 years ago. Daniel Feller was also heavily involved with one of Citrix’s most popular webinar series: Master Class. As I’m sure many of you out there already know, if you wanted to get your “technical fix,” the Master Class events were the place to go. So we got to talking and realized there is an opportunity to combine our efforts.
The resulting Citrix TIPs and Master Class “baby” will be called Tech Zone Live, and it’s debuting February 17. Before I strongly urge you to register, I wanted to take a minute to explain why Dan and I are so excited about the new Tech Zone Live:
- New digestible format — Instead of a one-hour webinar with lots of slides and no “face time,” Tech Zone Live will have all cameras on (Dan and the talented Ana Ruiz will be grilling the speakers with technical questions), and each segment is only 15 to 20 minutes max. We promise to keep your attention because we know your time is precious.
- The same great speakers (just more of them) — You get to hear from nine different people instead of just one or two. We’ll have our Enterprise Architects and Tech Marketing folks from TIPs and Master Class. But we’ll also bring on some new “talent” to provide additional perspective.
- More interactive — You can ask questions “live,” and we’ll do more demos so you can see some of the things we’re talking about firsthand.
I hope you’re sold by now, and I encourage you to register today and tune in on February 17 to experience Tech Zone Live. You can leave your feedback or suggestions below if you’d like to hear about a specific topic the next time around. Or maybe you have a brilliant tweak for the format itself. In any case, we’d love to hear from you, and I hope you’ll join us for the grand premier of Tech Zone Live. Cheers!
