As global lockdowns begin to lift, one thing remains clear: back to office will not be back to normal.
Our world has changed and businesses need flexible work models to stay resilient. This new environment opens the door to fresh opportunities and challenges us all to think differently as we reinvent what work looks like. Employees want remote work infrastructure as a permanent strategy. Every company must become a digital company. We are all adapting to meet these new needs, and for Citrix that means reaching out to our partners to innovate together.
At this critical and exciting moment, Citrix and Microsoft announced a multi-year agreement expanding our 30-year partnership to reimagine and empower this flexible workplace of the future. Citrix® Workspace will become a preferred digital workspace platform for Microsoft customers, and Microsoft Azure will become a preferred public cloud for companies using Citrix offerings to enable people to work anywhere from any device.
“As organizations everywhere adapt to new ways of work, they will need to reimagine how and where work gets done,” said Satya Nadella, CEO, Microsoft. “Together with Citrix, we will apply the power of Azure to this challenge, helping our customers seamlessly and securely connect their employees to their applications, so they can be more agile and productive wherever they are.”
In addition to this milestone announcement, I am proud to share that we were awarded the 2020 Microsoft US Partner Award for Alliance Global ISV. This prestigious award recognizes our leadership in customer impact, solution innovation, deployment, and exceptional use of advanced features in Microsoft technologies over the past year. It is a testament to the extensive work we’ve done to enable our mutual customers to achieve more and highlights our dedication to their success.
A Partnership Designed for Simplification and Acceleration
With more than half a million joint customers, 300 million commercial monthly active users of Office 365, and Windows 10 active on more than 1 billion devices, Citrix and Microsoft are positioned to simplify and accelerate the move to a cloud-enabled, mobile workforce with the best technologies and services to deliver the modern workplace.
Our new agreement simplifies the transaction process by bringing joint offerings to the market that combine into one transaction solutions customers previously purchased separately, in multiple transactions with Citrix and Microsoft.
New Opportunities for Citrix Partners
Ninety-two percent of our modern mobile workforce demands higher connectivity speeds across all apps and devices. Distributed branch office locations require central IT networking configuration and management. As Microsoft and Citrix partners unite to co-sell together, we address these remote work pain points, deliver unparalleled value and experience to our joint customers, and achieve our respective company-specific goals.
The combination of our joint offerings, our Connected Solution Roadmap with Microsoft, and new deployment tools and collateral currently under development will drive significant new opportunities for partners to help customers in their digital transformation journey.
For Distributors, these easy-to-sell solutions with joint SKUs are ideal for partners who are in both vendor programs. For CSAs, bundled solutions help deliver on the promise of a modern workplace and accelerate businesses to cloud. Our “better together” solutions help Global System Integrators solve some of the largest problems our joint customers are facing, while reducing the overall solution risk. And CSPs can take advantage of reselling Azure from Citrix without having to become Microsoft partner.
