The release momentum for Citrix App Layering keeps right on going!
With our monthly release cadence continuing in full swing, we are pleased to announce yet another update.
We continue to listen to your needs and our goal is to reflect that feedback on a continuous basis. As always, we love hearing from our customers, so we can plan our roadmap and focus our development work on your requirements!
Here’s what’s new in Citrix App Layering v4.12:
1803: Support for Windows 10 1803 is here!
App Layering and Citrix UPM Profile Streaming: We now have better handling when using UPM and profile streaming with App Layering
Reduced Layer version creation times in vSphere: With this latest release we have added performance improvements for App Layer versions in vSphere environments. In our testing we have seen the time for creating App Layering versions reduced by up to 40%! In order to take advantage of these time savings, you must keep copies of packaging disks so these disks can be reused when creating a new version of a Layer. Copies of the packaging disk are saved when you set your packaging cache in the vSphere connector. Remember to set this cache!
Stay tuned for future releases where we will be adding this type of performance improvement for additional connectors.
Remember, customer feedback is key, so we look forward to hearing what you think!
