Citrix Wins Two ASAP Alliance Excellence Program Awards

Citrix Ready Program Recognized for Both Innovative Best Practices and Emerging Partnership with Autodesk

(NASDAQ:CTXS), the global leader in application delivery infrastructure, today announced it has won two Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals (ASAP) 2009 Alliance Excellence Program awards.  As the first, and only, two-award winner in a single year, Citrix was recognized with both the Alliance Program award for the Citrix Ready™ Program as well as the Emerging Alliance Excellence award for its partnership with Autodesk.  

The selection committee, comprised of leading academics, analysts and consultants with extensive experience in strategic alliances, selects organizations that exemplify best practices, foster innovation and deliver impact in the way they form and manage alliances.  The committee noted that the Citrix Ready Program was selected in both categories because of its ability to create a strong community of alliances through implementation of new, innovative best practices.

In bestowing the overall Alliance Program Award, ASAP cited a few key differentiators of the Citrix Ready program:

  • Joint Citrix and alliance partner solutions are made available to the Citrix system integrator community and the channel community for incorporation into their go-to-market efforts, providing additional value to Citrix Ready partners.

In awarding the Emerging Excellence award, ASAP highlighted several key benefits of the partnership with Autodesk:

  • The two companies established a partnership that will virtualize approximately nine million users of Autodesk, a high-bandwidth, network-intensive 3D application, to the Citrix platform.
  • Engineers worked together to create a repeatable process that can be used to leverage proof of concept in future implementations.
  • Teams collaborated at all levels from the CTO to the sales and marketing team to create a unified contribution to the success of the alliance.  
  • Channel managers married the two channels together to create strong global channel management.
